The Bruce Montague Constitutional Challenge of Canada’s
Firearms Act continues to roll along in Kenora.
The Crown submitted three witnesses yesterday that they
would like to see deemed experts in the case.
The Defence has stated they object to the arresting
police officers, since their testimony won’t deal directly
with the Charter of rights and freedoms.
The third witnesses affidavit was picked apart, and the
Defence has stated some sections are objectionable.
Both sides would be open to having certain sections of
their witnesses expertise entered into the court.
A decision on who will be deemed an expert witness is
expected on Monday.
