More Aboriginal Education In Ontario

The provincial government is getting kudos for increasing the amount of aboriginal education opportunities in local schools.

A recent report from People For Education shows the has been a significant change in the curriculum when it comes to Indigenous learning.

Executive Director Annie Kidder says almost every school in Ontario has aboriginal students enrolled now.

She adds that 82 percent of aboriginal students currently attend a provincially funded school.

Kidder says the government has done a good job of implementing the calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, especially when it applies to education.
