Canadian Blood Services continues appeal for blood.
It says 10-thousand donations are needed by the end of this week to meet patient needs this spring.
An appeal issued a couple of weeks did bring in a number of donors to clinics in some parts of the country.
Officials say flooding in southern Ontario and snowstorms in BC have hampered efforts to replenish the national blood supply.
