Striking support workers in the Keewatin-Patricia School District continue to step up their job action in an effort to get the school board’s attention.
This morning, education assistants, librarians and office workers held a demonstration at Red Lake District High School.
A spokesperson for McLeod Transportation in Red Lake says the protest slowed down buses from leaving the high school.
As a result, the bus line says its elementary runs were late.
Yesterday, the support workers concentrated their efforts at Dryden High School where they disrupted classes by slowing down the flow of people going into the building.
Union spokesperson Pam Constable says her members are within their right to take such action.
