More Impaired Drivers

Province-wide, OPP say more impaired driving charges have been laid in the third week of the annual festive RIDE campaign than in the same period last year.
In the week prior to Christmas, OPP say more than 130-thousand vehicles were checked at roadside points across the province.
A total of 251 12-hour suspensions were issued and 114 impaired driving charges were laid, an increase of 33 from last year.
The festive RIDE campaign officially ends tomorrow.
