Jury selection has started in the first degree murder trial of James Kakegamic.
Kakegamic has been charged in connection with the death of a 16 year old Minaki girl.
Jocelyn “Chippy” McDonald went missing from a house party in Kenora in October of 2000, but her body wasn’t found until March of 2001.
Kakegamic was arrested in November of 2002, and has been in custody ever since.
The trial is expected to last about three weeks.
