At least three weeks has been set aside for the second degree murder trial of a Sandy Lake First Nation woman.

36-year-old Leslie Fiddler was arrested over two years ago in connection to the death of Uriah Kakepetum.

Kakepetum was brought to the nursing station on Sandy Lake in the early morning hours of May 12th, 2013.

A post-mortem exam determined he was the victim of a homicide.

About 150 people were called in for jury duty in Kenora last week.
