This is Weedless Wednesday.
Coalition for a Healthy Dryden Spokesperson Laurie Lynch says she is hoping that people put away their smokes for at least 24 hours.
Lynch says the campaign offers a day-by-day approach to knock the habit.
The initiative is part of National Non-Smoking Week and this years contest is expected to attract even more Northerners who are ready to quit the habit.
A number of great prizes are up grabs, including a B-M-W Mini Cooper, for daily smokers over the age of 19, who go smoke-free during the month of March.
More details are available at the Northwestern Health Unit.
