The opposition says funding for the Ontario Arts Council is being cut by $5-million.
The agency’s Indigenous Culture Fund is also being suspended.
Several organizations and individuals in northwestern Ontario have been assisted by the Council.
NDP Culture Critic Jill Andrew calls the cuts a disturbing attack on both the arts, and reconciliation efforts in Ontario.
