NDP Leader Speaks in Fort Frances

NDP leader Andrea Horwath believes the party has the support needed to keep the riding of Kenora-Rainy River in its grasp.
Horwath, in Fort Frances for Monday night’s nomination meeting, says area residents only have to look at the Liberal’s track record in northern Ontario.
The NDP plan to unveil a Northern Ontario-specific platform in the next 2-weeks.
It will include plans to scrap the current wood allocation process and forcing mining companies to process their raw materials in Ontario.
Horwath says it will include policies that will make a real difference for the Region.
She adds they’ve got strong candidates and supporters across the Province that are anxious to get to work.
