Although it’s not close to home, the Ministry of Natural Resources
will soon have a trained conservation dog in Northern Ontario.
Mike Buckner and his dog Hunter stopped in Dryden last week to showcase
the specially trained animal that will be based in Wawa.
Buckner says the dog will respond to poaching cases across the region.
The two will undergo intense training before starting work in August.
