Plans to create an affordable housing facility for seniors is moving
forward.
The “Dryden Nonprofit Lifelease Housing Corporation” is now operating
with a Manitoba Consultant looking at a blueprint for a high-quality
apartment complex.
Spokesman Mel Fisher says they hope to adopt a similar design that
was used by Kenora.
Fisher says they will need a firm commitment from seniors to decide
whether or not to proceed with the plan.
He says a public meeting is planned for later this spring to
discuss the next step.
