Workers at the soon to be opened sawmill in Kenora will be getting a significant pay hike.
Unifor says Kenora Forest Products has agreed to give an immediate $5 an hour pay bump for all licensed trades.
The union says this will help recruit and retain employees.
Fifteen are currently involved in getting the mill ready for the fall start-up when the workforce jumps to 110.
