The City of Dryden will soon have a fresh and more up-to-date look on the east and west side of town.
New digital entrance signs are now being installed on Highway 17 and work is expected to be completed by Friday.
Economic Development Manager Tyler Peacock says the signs can be updated right away.
Peacock says the signs will provide rotating information on community events, activities and businesses as well as up-to-date information on road closures or emergency notices.
He adds they can also be used to welcome visitors to the City of Dryden.
Peacock says once the signs are operational, they will be able to provide advertising opportunities for local businesses and organizations.
A staff report has rates from $200 to $600, with discounts for Chamber members or long time commitments.
The report also indicates an initial conservative revenue projection of $38,000.
Peacock states that if revenue stayed at that level for the life of the signs, the project would have a three-year payback.
