New Gold Continues To Expand In Northwestern Ontario

A takeover deal on the local mining front.
Shareholders with Bayfield Ventures have voted almost 95% in favour of a takeover by New Gold.
Under the agreement, New Gold assumes control of Bayfield’s mining properties in the Rainy River district which will be integrated into New Gold’s own gold project north of Barwick.
The deal is still subject to other conditions and regulatory approval, but is expected to be completed in the next few days.
