New Information on Opening Date for Atikokan Mill

The Town of Atikokan has encountered many peaks and valley’s in its
history and Mayor Dennis Brown says its nice to reach one of the higher
peaks.
The Provincial Government announced this week a conditional wood
supply for a new mill in Atikokan
Brown says the new plant will utilize white birch and will employee 180 people.
Brown says construction will likely start next spring with an opening
date of early 2009.
Superior Laminated Lumber will also construct a bio-mass boiler that
will help out Atikokan’s exisiting mill.
