Wasaya Airways is embarking on a new era with the appointment of Michael Rodyniuk as company President and CEO.
He brings 25-years of airline experience working in various executive positions including Air Canada’s Zip Air, WestJet and the Winnipeg Airport Authority.
Rodyniuk starts his new job with the Northern First Nations owned airline on June 8th.
Rodyniuk believes their financial issues are behind them and the company is poised to be a significant contributer to Canada’s aviation system.
He notes one challenge is aging equipment and adds one plan he has in place is team building excercies to ensure they have the right people, with the right tools and the right jobs.
Rodyniuk replaces Tom Morris who is retiring after 21 years with Wasaya.
