New School Has New Name

The new Dryden Elementary School has a new name.
The so-called super school, which will replace Hillcrest, Barclay and Sprucedale, has been named New Prospect Public School.
Naming Committee Chair Allyson Wise says New Prospect has historical significance adding it was the first name of the community before it was renamed honouring former provincial agricultural minister John Dryden near the turn of the 20th century.
New Prospect School is scheduled to be completed by early next year.
