No More Sneak Peaks for Pilots

The Federal Government has quietly introduced a regulation that will limit
pilots ability to land at Airports in inclement weather.
That has drawn the ire of Local officials in the Airline industry.
Kevin Beddome is the Chief Pilot for Bearskin Airlines and says he
doesn’t understand the Feds move.
Transport Canada has raised approach limits, which means an Aircraft will not be able to go below a barrier to check weather conditions.
The regulation also includes Air Ambulances, which means an Aircraft
would not be able to land once they pass the barrier, even in an emergency situation.
New technology and lighting would have to be installed at Regional
Airports and in an Aircraft to help in the landing process.
Dryden Airport Manager George Friesen says the measure will have a
lasting negative impact, both locally and nationally.
