NOMA Ready To Move Ahead With Liberal Government

The President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association is ready to sit down with the new MP of Kenora to discuss regional concerns.

Dave Canfield is anticipating a seamless transition between Greg Rickford and Bob Nault.

Canfield says Nault already knows what’s going on and how things operate on Parliament Hill.

He says he had a great working relationship with the MP-elect during the 90’s and early 2000.

Nault is a former Minister of Aboriginal Affairs.

Canfield says the main issues in the region are infrastructure and health care.

He says Justin Trudeau has promised significant infrastructure funding and local communities are anxious to tap into that money for shovel-ready projects.
