Norskies Coach Moving Up In Hockey World

The Thief River Falls Norskies are looking for a new head coach.

Cole Workman is joining the Division I NCAA Bemidji State University men’s hockey program as an assistant coach and director of hockey operations.

In his two seasons behind the bench with the Norskies, Workman compiled a record of 71-32-4-5 and was a finalist for coach of the year in both years.

Workman says he’s beyond excited for this opportunity with Bemidji and it’s humbling to move in the right direction with hockey.

Norskies team President Tim Berglund says Workman has provided a stable platform for their program and will be missed.

SIJHL Commissioner Bryan Graham says the efforts of Workman helped the Norskies become a model franchise in their league and across Canada.
