North Stars Enjoying Hot Streak

The Thunder Bay North Stars are the hottest team in the SIJHL and defenceman Joe Newhouse is a big part of that.
The 17-year-old has been named SIJHL Player of the Week.
He recorded four points in two games last week.
Newhouse doled out a pair of assists in a come from behind win against English River, and had a goal and an assist in a victory against Dryden GM.
The North Stars have 8-wins in their last 9-games.
Tate Sproxton of the Ice Dogs and Greg Harney of English River also received consideration.
Meantime, the North Stars have cracked the top 20 in the national rankings at 13th.
The Fort Frances Lakers advanced two places to 11th.
