Northwest Could be Immigration Hub

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Ken Boshcoff wants to see Northwestern
Ontario become a hub for immigrants who wish to start a new life in Canada.
Boshcoff says the Region only holds 6.9% of the Province’s
population and he feels welcoming newcomers will boost the numbers.
Recently, both levels of Government signed the Canada-Ontario
Immigration agreement, which will provide $920-million in Federal
funding to attract new residents.
84% of Ontario newcomers settle in the greater Toronto area.
