Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty has no questions about his safety in Ottawa despite Wednesday’s shooting in Ottawa.
Rafferty was among several NDP colleagues placed in lockdown for almost eleven hours after shots were fired inside the House of Commons.
He was finally able to go home around midnight.
Rafferty says the work of Sergeant at Arms Kevin Vickers reassures him about his safety.
He does expect some changes in the security level to take place.
Rafferty stresses it’s important for business to resume in Ottawa.
