Northwestern Ontario Showing Improvement In Stroke Care

Northwestern Ontario is showing some success in the areas of acute stroke management and stroke rehabilitation.

That’s the findings of a new Local Health Integration Network report card.

Meaghan Sharp is the Director of the Cardiovascular and Stroke Program for the Northwestern Ontario Regional Stroke Network and she says overall this area is showing signs of improved care.

Sharp says the concerning finding is the low number of individuals who arrive at the hospital by ambulance.
