NTAB Looking For Input From Employers

The Northwest Training and Adjustment Board has launched an ’employeronesurvey’.
The group is trying to determine the needs of employers across the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.
Executive Director Sonja Wainio says those completing the survey will be asked the demographics of their workforce, projected vacancies, recruitment strategies and challenges, their perspective on candidate skills, as well as education and training.
Wainio adds the region is lacking skills trades workers and they want to find out from employers how they can get students more interested in the profession.
She says the results will be included with those of five other northern boards in a final report.
