Nuisance Bear in Sioux Lookout

Sioux Lookout OPP were forced to destroy a nuisance bear this week.
OPP received several reports of a bear roaming through a residential area in the north end of Sioux Lookout in search of garbage.
Police say the bear was found in the yard of a Fifth Avenue home and it had been dragging garbage cans around the property.
OPP say the bear had to be destroyed after it confronted officers.
Police remind everyone to secure all garbage and not to keep open food around.
