NW LHIN Funding #1

The Northwest Local Health Integration Network is

welcoming a 17.3 million dolllar boost in funding from the

Ministry of Health.

All 13 hospitals in the region will see a 2.4 percent

increase in their base funds, as well as their share of

funding for small hospitals and reducing wait times.

NW LHIN Acting Chair Janice Beasley says they’re pleased

to see a 4.6 percent increase in their 2008-2009 funding.

Beasley says they continue to work with the Lake of the

Woods District Hospital on its accountability agreement

and deficit budget.
