NWHU: No New Cases Friday

The Northwestern Health Unit says that they have no new cases of COVID-19 to report on Friday.

They tell us that there are currently eight active cases within their catchment area; four in the Rainy River region, two in the Kenora district (one is outside the NWHU area) and one each in the Sioux Lookout and Dryden/Red Lake districts.

The NWHU says there are three hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

A total of 2,000 vaccine doses were administered over the past 24 hours, with the total number of doses administered now standing at 88,358.

No change to the active COVID-19 case count for the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

There are ten active with one new case reported Friday.

The province is reporting 256 cases, completing 26,600 tests.
