Damian Geiger
In loving memory of Damian Douglas Geiger, age 22 years, who passed away Sunday August 15th in Ear Falls.
Damian is survived by his mother Kathleen (Robert) Cormier, Father Douglas Geiger, grandfather Warren Copeland, sister Jessica (Desmond) Orbanski, step brothers Bobby, Mason, Nic, and Ben Cormier, step sister Takeisha Burns, proud uncle to nieces and nephews Scout and Atticus Orbanski, Payton Cormier, Damian’s fur babies Grizz , Meynard and Marty Dog as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Damian is predeceased by his grandpa Ben Geiger, grandma Marie Geiger and grandma Margaret Copeland.
Damian was born in Dryden, raised in Vermilion Bay until teenage years and then moved to Ear Falls. Damian played hockey from age 3 years old on Vermilion Bay, Dryden and Red Lake teams including double and triple A. He enjoyed dirt biking, BMX biking, working on his BMX bikes, working in shop on vehicles and welding. At a young age he loved fishing. He would be spotted riding his pedal bike with his fishing rod down to the lake in Vermilion Bay to go fishing as early as 7 years old. He had a love for camping with family and friends. Damian had a love for all animals from dogs, cats to lizards and fish.
Damian had a love for music. He always knew exactly the right song to play for a person. Damian loved to make everyone around him laugh. He enjoyed telling jokes and playing innocent tricks on people. Damian’s favorite joke while going to school was “Apparently I didn’t learn enough in school today; they are making me go back tomorrow”. After Damian learned enough in school he ran a skidder in the bush in Ear Falls.
A Memorial Funeral Service to Celebrate Damian’s life will be held Friday September 3rd, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pavilion in Vermilion Bay by the Government Dock with Matthew Queau officiating. Interment will follow in the Vermilion Bay Cemetery.
