With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stephanie Faye Adams, who journeyed to the Spirit World on December 25, 2025, at the age of 48.
Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Raylene Bighetty; her parents, Irvin Adams and Linda Adams; her paternal grandparents, Rosemary Delyea and Alphonse Adams; her paternal great-grandparents, Joe and Laura Napish; her maternal grandparents, Marguerite (Maggie) and Maurice Gardner Sr.; and her maternal great-grandparents, Bill and Zaagichiwe Gardner.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Juanita (Kelvin); her sisters, Jennifer and O’Hara; her brother, Christopher (Melissa); her nephews, Sheldon (Connor), Teegan, Carson, Mason, Graydon, Linden, and Keegan; and her niece, Kristen Anne.
Stephanie’s greatest joy came from her great-niece, Audi Lynn, and her great-nephews, Kane, Malcolm, and Bennett Adams, who held a very special place in her heart. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family—her many aunts, uncles, and cousins—along with her special friend, Travis Williams.
Stephanie lived a life rooted in love, family, community, and culture, values she expressed through the everyday moments that mattered most. She experienced her deepest and most unconditional love as a mother to her daughters, Juanita and Raylene. With that love came unimaginable heartache, and the loss of Raylene left a grief that words could never fully capture, yet one that was always visible in Stephanie’s eyes.
She had a natural artistic eye and could transform any space into something warm and vibrant. Her creativity extended to hair design—her nephews, cousins, and friends proudly wore her razor-edged designs, fades, and braids of every style. When she wasn’t styling hair, Stephanie opened her home to friends and family, sharing her latest recipes and singing karaoke late into the night.
Stephanie was known by many names—Ruffy, Buff, Auntie “S,” and Auntie Beppie—each one a reflection of the love people felt for her.
She had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and cared for. Stephanie never forgot a birthday and always found small, meaningful ways to celebrate the people in her life, reminding them of their importance.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Stephanie is reunited with Raylene, her parents, and all those who walked before her. There is peace in believing she has found everlasting life, surrounded by love.
