It’s a distant memory right now, but the month of October was a pleasant one in the Dryden area.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says overall last month was warm and dry.
Laidlaw says the average temperature was 6.3-degrees, 1.8-above the normal level.
He notes that was the fifth warmest since 2000.
The hottest day was October 20th at 22.8-degrees.
The coldest day was October 31st at -7.2-degrees.
Laidlaw adds it was also incredibly dry, as we didn’t see any precipitation from October 3rd to 22nd.
He says total precipitation last month was 38.7-millimetres, below the normal mark of 63.6-millimetres.
