OFAH Reacts to Bear Attacks

A bear attack north of Chapleau that claimed the life of a 31-year-old
Cambridge woman Tuesday has again raised concerns about aggressive bears.
Police across the Region have been inundated with calls in recent weeks
about bears wandering into Towns, populated neighborhoods and backyards.
Robert Pye is with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and says its
not an isolated problem.

n038 runs: 20 sec. out…in balance.

Pye adds the $10-million ‘Bear Wise’ program has done little to
protect the public.
