The Kenora District Services Board now has a site to work with for a new Ambulance Base in Ear Falls.
The old Fire Hall was demolished yesterday, making way for the new Garage.
Clerk-Treasurer Geoff McClain says a lot work still has to be done before Emergency Personnel can move out of their current facility which is behind the times.
McClain says the next step is selecting an Engineering Firm and to conduct soil testing on the property.
He says the Base will meet tough standards and will be in a centralized location.
The new facility is expected to open late next year.
