Faculty at Ontario colleges, including those at Confederation College, could be taking a strike vote next month.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union is asking the Ontario Labour Relations Board to schedule that vote for the second week in September, citing management’s refusal to deal with key issues in negotiations.
The existing contract expires at the end of September.
The union says it’s still committed to bargaining, but a strong yes vote would help push for the best deal possible.
