Open Roads Basketball Teams Succeed Against Saints

The Open Roads Basketball teams got some valuable experience against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints Thursday in Dryden in an exhibition series.

The Wolves Boys Grade 8 team split a pair of games against the Kenora club, winning 42-34 and losing 38-31.

Peter Zilkalns, Dominic Morriseau and Ethan Cook were the stand-out players.

The Open Roads Boys Grade 7 squad won both of their games against the Saints, with Carver Trist leading the way.

The Girls were involved in a pair of back and forth games, winning one 31-29 thanks to late baskets by Taylor Langlais.
