OPP Joining Twitter

The Ontario Provincial Police will soon be relaying emergency information to the public via Twitter.
The OPP are launching six new twitter accounts today for each of their Command Centres.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says officers in the field will be able to update the accounts almost instantaneously.
Schmidt says officers will provide information on collisions and road closures and the coverage will be 24/7.
