Provincial Police are looking to break down the stigma associated with suicide and mental illness within the force.
They’ve launched an effort to examine and assess barriers that may prevent officers from getting help.
Commissioner Vince Hawkes says no one should suffer in silence.
Hawkes says officers need to be comfortable about talking to their superiors, knowing their employer will back them up.
Hawkes says their campaign will include the review of all suicides and attempted suicides within the force over the past five years.
The initiative comes following the suicides of three officers in a span of one week.
