Provincial Police in Kenora have taken a large amount of methamphetamine off the streets.
Police stopped a vehicle on Highway 17A Wednesday evening.
During a search of the vehicle police seized 40-grams of meth, valued at $8,000.
As a result 56-year-old Glendon Loranger of Kenora is now charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He will answer to the charge in court next month.
