With engine problems behind him, Red Lake’s Pete McLeod is ready to make a run in the Red Bull Air Race Championship.
The only Canadian on the circuit says his plane is getting faster and he’s ready for a bounce back effort in the second half of the season.
McLeod reached the podium in the opening race, but then was hampered by some mechanical failures.
He says his plane is getting faster and is now mechanically sound.
McLeod stresses it’s a tough field out there right now.
He says one second can separate a racer from tenth to first.
The next race for McLeod is early July.
