Picketing Charges

Charges are pending following an incident at a picket line set up by striking support workers at Kenoras Beaverbrae Secondary School.
Kenora Police say they are planning to lay mischief charges after a window in a students vehicle was broken while a student tried to get past a picketer yesterday morning.
Eyewitnesses say a man, who was not a striking member of the union, swung a picket sign at the car, breaking one of the windows.
Damage is estimated at about 16-hundred dollars.
Striking Education assistants, librarians and clerical staff have been escalating their demonstations at schools throughout the Keewatin-Patricia School District this week.
