Reason Behind Gas War

A gas war in the Dryden area has driven the price of a litre of regular unleaded down to 42.9 cents.
And many gas retailers are offering additional customer discounts.
Gas and oil expert Costas Nicolow is an Economics professor at the University of Manitoba.
He says the reason for a drop in prices is the entry of grocery stores into the gas retail market.
However, he adds people should fill up their tanks in Dryden while they can because he does not expect the gas war to last long.
