Dryden Police want to let the public know of an internet scam going around.
A local resident received a notification from the Canadian Police Association indicating that his computer had been locked for a number of reasons and that it would cost $100 to get it unlocked.
The victim wasn’t able to close the site or do anything else with his computer.
Police say that this is some kind of virus, and are warning against opening any sort of document which resembles it.
