Police Set to Appoint Youth Liaison Officer

A Federal grant of $350,000 over 5-years will be used by the Dryden Police Service to appoint a new Youth Liaison Officer.
Chief Shayne McKinnon says the officer will work with children at risk and youth agencies in the field.
McKinnon says the officer will also work with Neighbourhood Legacy on establishing a new Youth Centre.
He says crime prevention is the number one issue for the Police Services Board.
