Political Reaction To Patrick Brown Allegations

The Liberal and NDP leaders are both commenting on the sexual misconduct claims against Ontario Progressive leader Patrick Brown.

Brown resigned as leader early Thursday morning, vowing to prove his innocence in court, strongly denying the accusations.

Premier Kathleen Wynne took to Twitter to state “It’s a difficult and brave thing to do to come forward in the way these young women have done. My government and I have been clear on the issue of sexual harassment and assault. In fact our policy and our ad were called “It’s Never Okay”.

Andrea Horwath says she was “disgusted and disturbed” by the allegations.

She also reaches out to the women who spoke out, calling them brave.
