Rising costs in hourly pool rental fees may force the Fort Frances Aquanauts Swim Club to fold.
Club President John Dutton has made a plea to town council to “hold the line” on fees insisting a threefold increase over three years is excessive and unfair.
Dutton has even suggested ways the town could reduce pool costs including lowering the water temperature and using a pool cover.
Although the town budget including user fee hikes has been adopted, town council has agreed to reconsider hourly pool rental fees.
