More than 970 customers in the Dryden area were affected by a brownout this morning.
Hydro One spokesperson Al Manchee says the brownout affected South Dryden as well as Van Horne and Rugby Townships.
Manchee says a partial power outage occurred around 7-AM when one line of a three line system failed at the Dryden substation.
Manchee says the exact cause of the failure is unknown although it may have been a tree branch or limb that fell on the line.
Hydro crews had to shut down power completely for several minutes in order to restore full power by about 8:45-AM.
