Property Assessments Set to Arrive This Week

Dryden Homeowners could see their property assessments jump 5% according to the latest Municipal Property Assessment Corporation figures.
The latest assessments will arrive in the mail this week.
City Treasurer Linda McNaughton says the Large Industrial rate has dropped 23%, which means a loss of $15-million in revenue.
McNaughton says other areas will have to cover that loss in revenue.
For example, if a homeowner sees no change in their assessment, their taxes could still go up roughly 5% because of the loss of revenue from the Large Industrial category.
The City bases its tax rate on the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation rates.
Anyone with questions on their assessment can call the M-PAC Office at 223-5352.
