Workers at Marathon Pulp are being asked to take major cuts to their wages and benefits.
The company’s proposal cuts their wages by 12%, as well as a reduction or elimination of vacation time, group insurance, and extra compensation for working night shifts.
The details were outlined in a 2-page document obtained by the Thunder Bay Chronicle-Journal.
The workers are to vote on the 2-year proposal in a secret ballot over 3-days.
