Aboriginal protesters say the property rights of all Ontario residents are being threatened by outdated mining laws.
The protesters, including several from Northwestern Ontario, are staging a sit-in on the lawn of the
legislature to make their point.
Darryl Sainnawap, one of six K-I First Nation members who were jailed over a dispute with a mining
exploration company is at the protest.
He says if politicians don’t change the act they can expect another Ipperwash.
